Nokomis has received over 40 Phase III contracts that utilize SBIR developed technology

The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program is a highly competitive program that provides Federal R&D funding to U.S. small businesses for ideas and technologies with high potential for commercialization. The SBIR program’s mission is to “support scientific excellence and technological innovation through the investment of Federal research funds in critical American priorities to build a strong national economy.” According to the Department of Defense SBIR website, “Phase III is the commercialization phase and the ultimate goal of each SBIR/STTR effort.”

 

Since its founding in 2002, Nokomis has demonstrated the ability to commercialize specialized products and services. Nokomis has a DoD SBIR/STTR Commercialization Achievement Index of 91%, an extremely high ranking for a small business. The emphasis of all SBIR programs at Nokomis is delivering state-of-the-art technology-based solutions (Phase III transition), and Nokomis has a proven record of providing cutting-edge technologies to our customers. Nokomis has been awarded over 40 Phase III contracts, worth over $35 million, that have employed Nokomis developed SBIR technologies.
